About me

Presenting at Hi-Tech Talk: “Accelerating Drug Development with Computational Methods”

Hi, I’m Jochem, a computational chemist specializing in virtual screening for small-molecule drug discovery. I’m currently a PhD researcher at the BIO-HPC group at UCAM, working in collaboration with Eurofins Villapharma. My research focuses on developing and applying consensus-based methods, such as molecular docking and fingerprint screening, to improve hit identification and lead optimization. With a background in biochemistry and biotechnology, I’m particularly interested in bridging computational and experimental approaches to advance early-stage drug discovery.
