Antonio Jesús Banegas-Luna, PhD, is a researcher at the Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM, Spain). He received his degree in Computer Science from the University of Murcia (2004) and his PhD from UCAM (2019). He worked as an IT Consultant for 15 years in different countries being an external Consultant for the European Commission for almost 7 years. Currently, he belongs to the Structural Bioinformatics and High-Performance Computing Research Group (BIO-HPC, http://bio-hpc.eu). His research interests include high-performance computing, drug discovery and artificial intelligence and his expertise is focused on the application of computational tools, running on high-performance computing architectures, to discover new potential drugs by ligand- and structure-based virtual screening approaches. His scientific production is summarized in 5 research projects, 7 publications in ISI-JCR journals, 3 publications in non-indexed journals and participation in 2 international congresses. He also collaborates with some journals as a peer reviewer.
